The reach. Lifting something over a wall or onto a roof needs more boom than lifting it off a bakkie beside the truck. More reach means a bigger crane.
The distance. Where the job is decides how long the truck is on the road to reach you.
Standing time. If the truck has to wait on site for the load to be ready, that waiting is part of the job. Have the load ready and the price stays where it was quoted.
